Hinduism

Journal Entry #5 will be on information you have learned about Hinduism. You may write on anything that was mentioned in your text. (History of Our World)Think about where Hinduism started and its beliefs.

Mohenjo-Daro

The assignment for journal entry #4 will be about the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro. Students will complete a journal entry reflecting on what they have learned about the ancient city. Due date is Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Information on this ancient city is located in your History of the World text pages 108-110.

Southeast Asia

For January 28, we will be studying the chapter about Southeast Asia. The journal entry will be about information you have learned from this section. Topics can include the ring of fire and Mt. Pinatubo. Information can be found in your Eastern Hemisphere text on pages 620-626.

East Asia Climate and Vegetation

For January 27, we will examine how climate and vegetation affect the people of East Asia. Possible journal topics that you may write about are monsoons, typhoons, and bamboo. Information can be found in your Eastern Hemisphere text pages 580-583.

Asia Journal

For the third quarter, we will be studying Asia. The first entry on your journal will be on landforms of East Asia . Students can write about the rivers of East Asia, the Himalayas, the North China Plain, the Gobi Desert, or the Plateau of Tibet. Students can create their own blog for this project or make their own journal . The choice is yours. You may include maps and/or pictures from the text or from the internet. Information can be found in your Eastern Hemisphere text pages 576-579.
